The legendary Group C cars were run in the sportscar world championship, in Le Mans and in the Interserie races. Porsche Group C cars - 956 C and 962 C - scored in an own Championship, the Porsche Supercup.

Being involved in designing and building an own Group C car I worked at Weigel Renntechnik (WRT). We finshed the car just when the news reached us that the sportscar world championship was cancelled in 1992. So the car did only two races in the Interserie.

1996 I modified the car to a WSC (World Sports Car) by cutting off the roof so we could compete in the new International Sportscar Racing Serie (ISRS). (See: ISRS)
